From the publishers:
How did the idea of the project Lights in the Darkness came up? It all started in 2015, during a cave photographer meeting in Turkey, when Leda Zogbi gave a presentation about the Brazilian caves. Several photographers, among the most renowned in the world, were interested in coming to Brazil to meet and photograph our caves. This movement eventually generated the project called “Lights in the Darkness”. First shipment and results The first expedition took place in July 2016. 5,500 km were covered by 4 Brazilian states: São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Goiás and Bahia and the result was a beautiful 300 pgs, colorful book in four languages (Portuguese, English, French and Spanish), 8 short videos with the making-of of the expedition that can be seen on this site, and a virtual exhibition.
